CHANDEL, November 28: The Tengnoupal Village Authority has suspended its proposed indefinite bandh along the Imphal-Moreh section of National Highway 102 after the concern outfit claimed responsibility for an IED explosion at Sita Lamkhai.
Speaking to media persons today, secretary of the village authority Lunminthang Haokip said the concerned outfit has claimed responsibility for the explosion on November 17 and as such there isno need for the proposed bandh.
He further expressed gratitude to all organisations who had decided to endorse the bandh and further appealed to the concerned outfit against planting and triggering such explosions in populated areas in the future.
