IMPHAL, November 27: Armed miscreants shot and injured the Internal Security Advisor of Ministry of Home Affairs North East at his Game Village quarter last night around 9.45 pm under Lamphel police station.
Fortunately, the victim survived the attack as the bullet hit his right arm and exited.
The victim has been identified as one Dr Ch Manoranjan, 52, son of Ch Brajakishore Singh Pisum Ningom Leirak, at present staying at Langol Game Village Type-III.
He was operated upon this afternoon at RIMS hospital and said to be out of danger.
Dr Ch Manoranjan was alone at his quarter when the incident took place.
