IMPHAL, Dec 17: A vaccination programme especially for cattle (cows and buffaloes) was conducted today at Phaiong (Bhalok) village under Tamenglong sub-division, Tamenglong district.
At least 70 cattle were vaccinated during the programme today which was organised under the aegis of the joint director, District Veterinary Office, Tamenglong.
Meanwhile, it may be mentioned that in the aftermath of the reported death of 25 cows and buffaloes in Sonpram, Pallong and Bhalok villages in the district some 10 days back due to the outbreak of the suspected cattle disease Hemorrhagic Septicemia and Black Quarter, a team of the District Veterinary Office had vaccinated 270 cattle in Pallong and Sonpram villages.
