Imphal, Apr 27 (NNN): Foul weather conditions today compelled emergency landing of the helicopter carrying Nagaland Governor P B Acharya in Imphal. He is also the Governor of Tripura state.
At around noon time today, he was travelling from Nagaland to Tripura, where the rainy weather unfavoured the helicopter ride. Later, officials contacted Imphal airport and arranged emergency landing of the helicopter.
After the landing in Imphal airport, P B Acharya was greeted by the officials of Manipur Raj Bhawan. He will be hosted by the Manipur Governor today and will leave Imphal for Tripura on Tuesday morning.
