IMPHAL, Apr 24: A woman who had eloped recently with her lover was found dead hanging at her residence at Kiyangei Mayai Leikai under Irilbung Police Station, Imphal on April 23.
The deceased has been identified as Pitru, 25 alias Rejia daughter of Md Safiruddin. She was found dead hanging by her family members.
Reports said Pitru eloped recently with a man who had already married three women.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident. The dead body has been handed over to the deceased`™s family after performing post mortem at RIMS morgue. The man whom the deceased eloped with has been pulled up by the police for interrogation, the reports stated.
