IMPHAL, Jul 29: Residents of Mayengbam Leikai, Singjamei today staged a sit in protest and later took out a rally against police firing in the locality during which a 32-year old was injured around 7:50 last night.
Ngangom Robinson from Singjamei Mayengbam Leikai was injured allegedly in police firing last night as he was having dinner with friends at a tent house.
The protestors took out a rally towards the Kakwa Police Station later in the afternoon protesting the alleged unprovoked police firing.
Meanwhile, a JAC was formed in connection to the incident.
