BISHNUPUR, July 30: Extending solidarity to the collective demand for enforcement of Inner Line Permit System or similar law in the state to effectively monitor the rampant influx of outsiders, Ningthoukhong Meira Paibi Apunba Lup along with women vendors at Ningthoukhong Bazar staged a sit-in-protest at Ningthoukhong Bazar, Bishnupur district today.
During the protest demonstration, the women protestors formed human chain and shouted slogans such as `Implement ILPS in Manipur`™, `Punish those policemen involved in killing of Sapam Robinhood`™, `We condemn killing of student`™, `Long live Manipur`™ etc.
Sit-in-protests were also held at Bishnupur Bazar, Keinou Bazar and several other places in the district demanding implementation of ILPS in the state without further delay.
