LAMKA, Aug 21: The Young Paite Association (YPA) V Munhoih celebrated its first rising day today at the temporary Office set up at the residence of one L Mangoulian of V Munhoih Village.
The function was attended as chief guest by EM of ADC Churachandpur Gouzamang Guite and was also attended by leaders of YPA GHQ.
V Munhoih Village is a new village with a new unit of YPA and is located next to Vengnuam Colony, New Lamka.
State Health minister Phungzathang Tonsing was supposed to attend the programme but could attend and was replaced by the ADC Churachandpur EM.
YPA chief advisor M Pauzagin also attended the function.
Speaking at the function, Guite said it is due to the sheer unity, hard work and perseverance of the villagers that made it YPA unit one of the most active unit although it was celebrating its first anniversary.
Being a new village, it is much affected with bad road connectivity, he said.
The Munhoih Village YPA Unit is the 11th unit of the association in Lamka alone.
The program was also graced by religious leaders like Rev Ngaithang who delivered an exhortation speech for the new unit of YPA.
The program ended with vote of thanks from T Tunzakham of the new YPA unit.
