LAMKA, Sept 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party, Churachandpur deeply mourns the loss of eight lives during the recent movement in Churachandpur for the protection of tribal rights and land said a statement of the party.
It further demanded imposition of the President Rule in the State.
The statement further demanded that all tribal MLAs should withdraw their signature from the bill and resign at the same time, the Chief Minister should also resign on moral grounds.
The press release was signed by the party`™s district president J Haokip which came attached with a memorandum of the party submitted to the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and other concern authorities under the subject `an SOS to intervene in the Tribal problem of Manipur.`
