IMPHAL, Oct 28: Police bomb squad found a bomb which was planted near the Singjamei riverbank. The explosive was recovered at around 11.30 pm yesterday from near the Singjamei Bridge riverbank, the area is located close by the Singjamei marketplace.
Reports said that the improvised explosive was found wrapped in a plastic polythene bag. Some nearby residents had seen the bag lying on the riverbank since late afternoon. The matter was reported to the police and later a team discovered that the content was a bomb. Investigation is ongoing on who planted the explosive and the motive of attack.
