IMPHAL, Nov 29: Rajkumar Brajendra Singh (BS Rajkumar) has been selected for Nongthombam Kunjamohan Prize-2015 to be awarded by Sahitya Thoupang Lup (STL) for ‘The Song of Dream’ translated by him from Khumanthem Prakash’s Sahitya Akademi Award winning book ‘Manggi Eeshei’.
In a press release secretary of STL stated that the award donated by wife of late eminent writer N Kunjamohan, Nongthombam Nandarani Devi is given annually with special focus on translators of Manipuri books into Hindi and English languages. The prize includes cash prize of rupees 10 thousand with one citation and a shawl.
The award will be handed over to Brajendra on the inaugural day of the Imphal Literature Festival on December 4, the release added.
