IMPHAL, Nov 17: The State Election Commission Manipur has issued notification for conducting by-elections for two Gram Panchayat constituencies on November December.
In a statement Radharani Mutum, stated that the by-election will be held for 3/9/6 Khewa Company and Phurju G.P Constituency (U/R) of 3/9 Pukhao Gram Panchayat and 3/6/6 Keinou Makha Sorok Maning Leikai GP Constituency (U/R) of 3/6 Keinou Gram Panchayat.
It said that the last date of filing of nominations will be November 23 followed by scrutiny on November 24 and last date for withdrawal of candidature on November 27.
The hour of poll will be from 8 am to 4pm.
The date of re-poll, if any will be held on December 30 while counting will be held on January 2, 2016.
