IMPHAL, Nov 16: The Manipur University Students`™ Union (MUSU) has said it is going ahead with the proposed boycott of the 29th Manipur University Inter College Youth Festival, 2015 citing no positive sign from the Vice Chancellor of the University with regards to their demand to include MUSU under Manipur University Act 2005 by November 17.
In a statement MUSU president, Sarangthem David, warned the authority concerned not to defy the boycott adding that any untoward incident arising as a result of the defiance the MU VC, Registrar, Deans of Students Welfare, Cultural Co-ordinator and Colleges team managers will be held responsible.
In the meantime, the LMS Law College Students`™ Union has said that it would fully endorse all the decision taken by the MUSU while terming the move a legit including the boycott of the upcoming Youth Festival.
