BISHNUPUR, December 17: A sit in demonstration was today staged at Terakhonsangbi Bishnupur district in protest against the conversion of Ibudhou Thangjing into Thangting.
The protest was jointly organised by Ibudhou Leithen Thangjing Lai Committee and JAC Tiddim.
Placards which read “refer it as Thangjing sub-division,” “We opposed conversion of Thangjing into Thangting,” “revoke Government decision of August 25, 2014 to changed the name of Ibudhou Thangjing into Ibudhou Thangting” etc were displayed during the demonstration.
