IMPHAL, Jan 17: A bomb planted in a drainage pipe at the residence of Sinam Dijen Singh, 47, son of (L) Kuber, of Sougaijam Leirak Nambul Mapal, Imphal West by unknown miscreants exploded today at around 7:40 pm.
Speaking to media persons, Sinam Dijen Singh said he was not home when the explosion took place and as there was no threat from any underground organizations he has no known reason for the explosion.
According to bomb experts the bomb was an IED triggered using a remote control device or a timer.
There were no reports of injuries except for some minor damages at the site of the explosion.
