IMPHAL, Jan 2: The Thadou Students’ Association, General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ) has congratulated LM Khaute on his elevation to the post of Director General of Police (DGP) of the State by an ordered issued by the Governor and DPAR, Government of Manipur on December 31 last.
In a statement, TSA-GHQ said LM Khaute was serving in the rank of ADGP (L&O) until he was appointed as the new State DGP.
Wishing LM Khaute on being the top cop of the State, it said it is one of the very rare designation found among the tribal in Manipur.
The students’ association has also appealed to the new DGP to focus more on the modernization of the State police and basic policing so as to facilitate the law and order of the land.
TSA-GHQ in the statement also thanked Government of Manipur for the fairness and justice hand out in the Police Department for appointing him as per seniority-based among the serving officers.
