Private schools committee demand HSLC exam centre of choice

IMPHAL, February 5: The Joint Committee of Private schools, Hiyanthang Private Centre, Imphal West, formed by six different schools of Hiyanthang area has urged the authority concerned for separate High Schools Living Certificate Examination centre.

President of the committee Sh Shyamkishore said the present examination centre of the six schools is not student friendly and is without proper fencing, flooring and very near to road which will expose the students sitting for their exams to noises.

He was speaking to the media today during a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

He said the Kumari Government High School, Hitangthan has been continuing as the examination centre of the schools for the past 15 years but the present structure is congested and not fit for education.

He said they have already apprised the comptroller of the board on the issue but he has failed to respond positively.

Even the AMSU had submitted photograph evidence of the school, but to no avail, he added.

He said the committee is demanding the board to grant Pivainu Public English School located at Phuramakhong Nambul Mapal as Hiyangthan B centre for the examination.
