IMPHAL, Mar 20: The Khurpui-Lam Organisation Manipur (KOM) has appealed the All India Radio (AIR) to extend their 7:30 am news from 10 minutes to 15 in the larger interest of the rural populace including Hills.
Speaking to media persons, KOM’s secretary Serto Tondana Kom, said that the rural populace especially hills cannot wholly rely on newspapers for daily news update with circulation of newspaper being irregular.
Given the fact, AIR 7.30 news is the only option for the remote areas he said adding that he drew the attention of the authority concerned extend the news bulletin from 10 to 15 minutes.
