IMPHAL, March 13: Denouncing the bomb attacks carried out by militant suspects in two places in Imphal yesterday, twin sit in demonstration was held today.
The Pangal-Meitei Apunba Committee and Tuck & Bones filling station staffs staged sit-in protest against the bomb blast at Trunk & Bones filling station located at Hatta.
The protestor appealing the concern organisation or individuals not to repeat such act in the future, demanded to clarification for the attack.
Placards which says “no explosives at petrol pump for public welfare”, “we strongly condemned the bomb blast at Hatta Oil pump”, “we want peace and integrity” etc were displayed during the demonstration.
On the other hand, residents of Singjamei Bheigyabati Leikai, also staged a sit in protest demonstration condemning the bomb attack at the residence of Thokchom Satyabrata Singh last night.
The sit in was jointly organised by Bheigyabati Leikai Women Development Organisation, Mayampat Women Welfare Association, Mahabali Makha Khul Mayai Leikai Meira Paibi and women folks from the local.
The sit in protest was staged at in front of the Satyabrata’s residence with placard denouncing the act. One of the protestor said that exploding of bomb in populated area should not repeated in future adding that appealed to all concern to maintain peaceful environment.
