KANGPOKPI, Apr 7: Two villager of Chassad and Aishi village was allegedly kidnapped on April 2 by unknown miscreants near Chatric Khunou village under Chassad Police Station in Kamjong Sub Division in Ukhrul district.
The victims were identified as Jamthang Haokip (52), s/o (L). Ngulthang Haokip of Chassad village and Hemjangam Haokip (53), s/o (L). Ngulpao Haokip of Aishi village in Ukhrul district.
Eastern Kuki Chiefs’ Association, Ukhrul and victim’s families have jointly expressed their discontentment over the incident and filed and FIR in the concerned police station.
While seeking justice for the two victims, the Eastern Kuki Chiefs’ Association, Ukhrul appeal the civil organizations, neighbouring village leaders and concerned authorities to find out the victims at the earliest before any undesirable and misunderstanding occurred.
