IMPHAL, May 2: Ward no 19 of Yaiskul Assembly Constituency BJP sitting councillor Yumlembam Ratikanta Singh today said he has submitted his resignation from membership of the party.

Speaking to media persons, Ratikanta said although he is the sitting councillor of the ward, he was not even informed about induction of new members of the party.

He said the party’s action is condemnable and beyond organisational ethics.

He said he submitted his resignation letter on May Day.

Ratikanta also charged Th Chaoba of running the party in a tyrannical manner and acting for his own benefit.

He said the draw of lottery to decide women reservation for the upcoming IMC election was held on April 27. During the lottery, Ward No 19 was reserved for women, he added.

However, the following day, Choaba inducted some women to suit himself, he added.

Ratikanta who is also the Bazar Board chairman said although it is too early to announce his induction in another political party, he is sure that he will join a national party soon.
