Roles of men in society emphasised on KSBC Rising Day in Keithelmanbi

KANGPOKPI, May 16: An assortment of men’s department roles and responsibilities in the making of society and the nation as a whole among the Christian community has been remarkably emphasized on the 34th Foundation Day of Keithelmanbi Solam Baptist Church, KBC No.5 today at Keithelmanbi in Champhai Sub Division, Sadar Hills.

Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen graced the occasion as Chief Guest while local MDC Lamminthang Kipgen attended as Functional President and Pastor Lunkholal Haokip as Dedicating and Blessing Minister.

The foundation day was observed under the theme, “Holding forth the words of Life” at Keithelmanbi Solam Baptist Church.

MLA Nemcha Kipgen unveiled the foundation day monolith after the local MDC hoisted the KSBC Men’s Department pennant while Pastor Lunkholal Haokip dedicated to the Almighty in the presence various Church leaders.

Emphasizing the significant roles and responsibilities of men society in the Church administration as well as in the making of society and the nation as a whole, MLA Nemcha Kipgen shows her appreciation towards the KSBC Men’s Department in their efforts to maintain the importance of men society.

She continued that today’s society will rise up to the mark only if they have men who are loving leaders, effective teachers, and godly examples while adding that the role of man is a leadership one which need to be exercised in love and with a good and caring disposition in both the society and the nation.

She further said that the influence of fathers or men in the society was increasingly seen as minor and their importance was defined by how well they provided for the society.

While motivating the KSBC Men’s Department to be a source of encouragement and resource to help the Church in particular and the society navigate into new possibility and development through peaceful exertion, MLA Nemcha Kipgen believed that rebuilding the institution of fatherhood might be a cure-all when it comes to pulling a wobbly society to its feet.

A condolence service for the departed members of the KSBC Men’s Department was also observed during the function as a marked of tribute.

MLA Nemcha Kipgen was appreciated for upholding peace, love and unity among the society by the various men’s department leaders on the occasion.

Various local artiste enthralled the crowd with their melodious tune while a grand feast marked the occasion.
