IMPHAL, May 17: A ‘thief’ who allegedly sneaked into a house was beaten to death by a mob at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai, Imphal West today around 3 am.
Identity of the deceased could not be established. His dead body has been deposited at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) morgue for post mortem.
He sustained severe injuries in the mob attack. He was admitted to the hospital but died on the way.
