Medical Camp organised by Red Shield Division

    IMPHAL, Jan 20:  A medical camp was organized under the aegis of Red Shield Division by 357 Field Hosp in association with 165 Infantry Battalion (TA) at Kaimai, a remote village in Tamenglong District on Januray 18 at Kaimai village in remote areas of Tamenglonmg district.
    Accordig to an official release of the PRO, PIB Defence Wing Imphal, medical team consisting of 03 doctors and 04 paramedics were dispatched from 57 Mountain Division who attended to patients from Kaimai, Ptholen and other nearby villages.  The villagers were highly appreciative of the gesture shown by the Army in reaching out to them and expressed their gratitude.
    512 patients were provided medical care in the medical camp.  Apart from attending to the patients and providing them the required medicines, an interactive lecture was carried out in the community hall by the doctors to educate the villagers on issues pertaining to hygiene and sanitation, childhood diseases, common infectious diseases and pregnancy related problems the release added.
