IMPHAL, Nov 29: An executive council meeting of the Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions’ Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees’ Organisation (AMGEO) held today at its office unanimously selected ex-secretary general of the apex body Chingtham Chandramani Singh for the remaining period of this term or until a new president is selected/nominated.
A press note of the JAC said that selection is referred to Article 8(b) of the constitution in which president should be the honorary person nominated/selected by the approval of 2/3rd majority of the executive council.
