IMPHAL, February 13: A powerful remote controlled bomb was found near the veranda of the Lilong Heinou Makhong Leikai residence of Lilong Haoreibi College lecturer Md Islamuddin, 58, son of Jumer Ali this morning.
According to police sources, family members found the powerful bomb inside a plastic bag this early morning lying inside their residential compound which lies under Lilong Police.
It is learnt that the remote controlled TNT explosive weigh around 500 gram.
A bomb disposal squad of the Manipur Police safely retrieved the explosive around 11:20am and was exploded at a suitable location near the foothill along the Lilong ITI Road, informed the source.
