IMPHAL, July 4: L. Dhaneshwor, 35, brother of health minister L Jayentakumar who was alleged to have assaulted a bus driver, has clarified that he and his friends were not involved in any kind of assault on the bus driver as the driver has accused.
It may be recalled that Dhanakuber a bus driver of a inter-state bus had alleged that he was assaulted by the brother of health minister on July 1 afternoon near Thangal village in Senapati district over right of way.
The bus driver also reportedly sustained serious injury on his left eye during the assault.
Dhaneshwor has accused the bus driver of making a blunt accusation against him.
Clarifying himself, the minister’s brother has said that he along with his other co passengers of the Bolero jeep had already lost their consciousness after colliding with a bus coming from the opposite direction and found themselves admitted at the Senapati district hospital when they woke up.
