IMPHAL, July 27: A one week Mini Mathematics Training and Talent Search (mini-MTTS) programme is being organized during August 27 to September 1 at the Department of Mathematics, Manipur University with the funding of National Board of Higher Mathematics, Govt of India, said a release of the department.
It is being held in Manipur to provide an opportunity to Mathematics students in the North Eastern Region, in particular, in the state of Manipur, for imparting training in some basics of mathematics. It also aims to nurture the talented students of Mathematics. The program is targeted to students currently in 2nd year/3rd Semester of B.Sc./B.A./B.E./B. Tech. students having Mathematics as one of the compulsory papers. The application form and recommendation letter may be collected from the office of the undersigned or downloaded from www.manipuruniv.ac.in
The participants will be provided free board and lodging. The last date of receiving forms has been extended up to August 10 while list of selected students will be announced on August 17.
