IMPHAL, Aug 2: All Manipur United Clubs Organization (AMUCO) will observe the 15th Manipur Integrity Day on August 4 at MDU Hall to mark the day the people of Manipur took out a mass rally to safeguard the territorial integrity of the state.
A release of AMUCO mentioned that the territorial integrity of the state has been afflicted from different angles in the form of peace talks, alternative arrangement and other anti-people policies. The people of Manipur should be united in facing the threats to the territorial integrity.
The “divide and rule” policy of the Indian government has perturbed the people of the state and has created a sense of enmity among own brothers and sisters. The people no longer have trust and faith in one another. There is always an apprehensive feeling that the territorial integrity of the state might be crippled one day, it said.
The AMUCO further appealed to the people to affirm their stance for safeguarding the territorial integrity of the state regardless of one’s caste, community or religion.
