IMPHAL, December 31: The Democratic Students` Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) called a press conference at its office at Keisampat with the theme, “Media plays an important role for a better society of Manipur.”
During the function, a two minutes silence was also observed in respect for the departed soul of Journalist Dwijamani.
During the conference, a member of DESAM delivering the keynote address said that DESAM members respects the media for its contribution in spreading their ideas to different corners of the state. He further said that it was unfortunate that in times of bandhs and protests as has happened recently, the media were obstructed in their movements during the course of their duty.
