IMPHAL, Jan 4: A press release has notified that a five-day Orientation Program on Translation, sponsored by National Translation Mission, Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore in collaboration with Department of Linguistics, Manipur University will be held from January 28, 2012 to February 1, 2013.
The programme is designed to orient the participants with Theories and techniques of translation, various issue involved in knowledge texts translation and available resources for translation in Manipuri, etc.
Teachers of colleges (both Science and Arts), research scholars and those interested in translation work can participate in the programme. The number of participants is limited to 40 only. The participants will be paid local conveyance allowance. The last date of registration is January 22, 2012 and the forms are available at the Department of Linguistics, MU according to the release.
