IMPHAL, November 23: A powerful bomb exploded today at around 8:15 pm at Viewland, Gandhi Chowk in Ukhrul district head quarter. However, there was no report of any casualty.
Report reaching here said that a passenger bus, Yaisana, was parked at the area and the bomb exploded from under the bus. The blast inflicted some damage to the bus parked there but no casualty was reported.
The bus bearing number MNO1-1935 belonged to Konthoujam Nipamacha of Yairipok Angtha.
The motive behind the blast is yet to be ascertained as no groups or individuals have claimed responsibility till the filing of this report.
