IMPHAL, March 25: Sarangthem Manaobi candidate from All India Trinamool Congress Manipur and Oinam Jotin candidate from Jai Maha Bharat Party have submitted their nomination papers to Deputy Commissioner Imphal West K Radhakumar Returning Officer of Inner Parliamentary Constituency Manipur for the ensuing Lok Sabha Election 2014 today.
S Manaobi was proposed by AITC MLAs Dr I Ibohalbi opposition leader and Th Shyamkumar Andro MLA.
After the nomination filed S Manaobi convened a Press conference at the Manipur Press Club this afternoon, Candidate said that after voluntary retirement from Indian Police Service (IPS) he decided to joined politics rectify and save the states from the hands of representatives MPs who has been sabotaging the sanctity of its people since 1952.
He observed that Manipur is always put in the forefront of unrest with hills and valley divided. Given the situation he claimed that his mind was beyond the limit of tolerance and entered into political arena to save Manipur from going further the abyss, added Manaotombi.
The issue of illegal migrant influx threatening the indigenous populations, AFSPA, territorial integrity, crimes against women etc are some of the issues the Manaotombi focussed to work on.
