IMPHAL, Apr 16: Laimayum Ibotombi Sharma, who played the role of ‘Bir Singh’ in the highly popular Shuman Leela ‘Abir Khan’, passes away today morning, at his Irom Meijrao residence after a prolonged illness. He was 84. L Ibotombi Sharma took important role in other popular plays such as, ‘Pocket Mar’, ‘Punshi Marup’ and ‘Sahargi Meiri’ etc.
He was with the Meitie Leima Jatra cum Drama Assn. Shining Star and had served as Director at Kamakhya Sangeet Mandal.
