IMPHAL, February 10: BJP today conducted the Felicitation and thanksgiving programme of C Apoukhui, village chief of Rongdai Village on his success in the recent ADC Election conducted in 2015.
The elected member was appointed as the chairman of the Finance Committee of the Tamenglong ADC.
The felicitation programme was held at the Rongdai Baptist Church.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP Manipur general secretary M Asnikumar lambasted the Congress and claimed that the Congress government has forgotten the hills.
Huge amount of money has been sanctioned to State government for development of road communications, improve of health facility, Education, for tribal welfare through Horticulture from NLCPR and NEC. Unfortunately, there is no visible works taken up on it, he claimed.
He further asserted that more than Rs 5 crores each for all hill districts have been sanctioned by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nursing Division, government of India for construction of GNM Nursing School in Hills districts.
He further claimed that another huge amount of Rs 22.59 crores and Rs 28.89 crores has been sanctioned in two instalment by central government for construction of 9 PHCs and 46 PHSCs from NABARD through DoNER Ministry in the year 2011. Till today about 46 crores has been released from state government but sign of visible in the proposed areas.
He continued that another Rs 8.7331 crores had been sanctioned by Central Government through NLCPR for construction of Community Health Centre construction at Napet Palli under Jiribam in 2014, but only Rs 3.6350 crores has released till today and the construction is still not visible.
The programme was jointly organized by the Rongdai Peic, Rongdai Village Authority & Rongdai Baptist Church. The function was attended amongst others are ex-minister Samuel Jiandai, Adim Pamei executive member of State BJP election committee.
The function was précised by Reverend Nambidim Kamei Pastor, Luangba Baptist Church as a Speaker.
