E-Front-__-amith-shahIMPHAL, Aug 7: BJP president Amit Shah would visit the State in the first week of September in order to chalk out a strategy so that there is a BJP Government in Manipur after the forthcoming State Assembly election.
This was stated by BJP Manipur Pradesh election management committee convenor Th Chaoba during a press meet at their Nityaipat Chuthek office here today.
Policies and programmes initiated by the party with regard to the Manipur State Assembly election were discussed in detail during a core committee meeting of the party which was chaired by Amit Shah at Delhi on August 2.
Informing that he also took part in the core committee meeting, Chaoba said that the prevailing political situation of Manipur was deliberated at length during the meeting.
The meeting discussed about initiating due measures so as to defeat the ruling Congress party and set up a BJP Government in Manipur.
To chalk out strategies towards this end, BJP president Amit Shah would visit Imphal in the first week of September.
Many other Central leaders of the party would also visit the State one after another ahead of the president’s visit, Chaoba said.
All the people who want to join BJP are most welcome but tainted people would not be allowed.
However, allotment of party tickets for the State Assembly election was never discussed during the core committee meeting.
The issue of implementing NFSA was also discussed during the meeting. A mass agitation would be launched against the forfeiture of huge quantities of rice and the issue of NFSA would be taken up as an election agenda, Chaoba continued.
