IMPHAL, August 14: All India Radio, Imphal has won the second prize in the junior category (5 to 12 years) of the Choral Singing Competition for Children under Akashvani Annual Awards 2011 held at All India Radio, New Delhi.
Though Air Imphal has won many awards in other various categories, this is the first time AIR, Imphal entered the competition in the CHORAL singing category. The song was written by Waikhom Gojen Meitei, composed by W Jahendra Meitei and produced by Bijaya Yumlembam. Participants are children artist of Social Sporting Club, Sekta Imphal East.
