“We should keep in mind that the function is related with the traditional form of martial art, Thang Ta where maintaining discipline, behaviour and food habits are very important. Without these things we cannot master this field,” he added.

“This tradition of Thanga Ta has been passed over to us by our ancestors and it is our duty to further carry forward this legacy in a right way to our next generation,” he added.

O Lokendro Singh speaking at the function also emphasized on the need for discipline to succeed in one’s goal.

He further announced free computer training course ranging from three weeks, two weeks and one week to the first, second and third position holders of the championship respectively.

The later part of the programme, which was attended by very few people, saw various forms of Thang Ta demonstration presented by young artists.
