IMPHAL, November 5: The Manipur Government has sought time from the Supreme Court for furnishing reasons of not removing AFSPA from the State. The Supreme Court hearing for the second held today has postponed the next hearing to November 24.
The petition was submitted to the Supreme Court by Dr.Th Suresh Singh on why AFSPA should not be removed from the State. The directive of the Supreme Court today also notified the petitioner to personally hand over the petition to the concerned officials at the Centre also.
The first hearing was held on October 19 last.
