CHANDEL, February 15: According to a press release issued by the Directorate of Information and Public RelationsLui Ngai Ni , the seed-showing festival of the Nagas was celebrated at the Maha Union Higher Secondary School ground of Chandel district with cultural flavor.
The function was attended by MLA L Dikho with MLA Nunghlune Victor inaugurating the function. Later, Naga elders performed the traditional seed showing rituals. Speaking at the function, L Dikho said that Lui Ngai Ni festival spread the message of peaceful co-existence and brotherhood to the people. Ex-MP BD Behring, L advani, President, UNC, village chiefs and high level functionaries of various organizations and other officials participated in the function.
