IMPHAL, Oct 31: Altogether 115 oil tankers stranded in the neighbouring States owing to the ongoing economic blockade imposed by the Kuki Peoples`™ Liberation Front (KPLF) along the National Highway have arrived in the state escorted by CRPF personnel.
According to information received by IFP, of the total 115 tankers 65 Oil tankers including Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene and Air Transport fuel (ATF), have arrived yesterday and another 50 trucks reached Imphal today.
Meanwhile, altogether 235 empty Oil tankers have left Imphal yesterday along with escorts of CRPF personnel heading for different supply points in Assam including Tinsukia, Guwahati, Numaligarh etc.
It is learnt that another 65 more empty Oil tankers have left Imphal today bringing the total number of empty trucks heading for Assam at 307.
Another 28 empty Oil tankers will reportedly leave Imphal early morning tomorrow.
