Financial Literacy Awareness camp held

IMPHAL, January 30: The Manipur Rural Bank Head Office Keisampat, Imphal today organised a one day ‘Financial Literacy Awareness Camp’ at the Bamol Leikai Youth Club Yairipok playground, Thoubal District.

The camp was sponsored by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Manipur Regional Office, Imphal.

Member of the Wangkhem Zilla Parishad-Khundrakpam Sobha Singh, attended the awareness camp as the chief, president of the Bamol Leikai Youth Club Yairipok-Kh Prafullo Singh, as the function presidne while Pradhan of the Ningel Gram Panchayat-Salam Kumar Singh, Councillor of Yairipok Municipal Council ward No.4-Laishram Haripyari Devi and Branch Manager of Maniupr Rural Bank Yaripok branch-Thongam Indramani Singh, were the guests of honour.

Addressing the gathering as the resource person during the camp, senior manager of FCI and Vigilance-Kh Yaiskul, said that the objective of the camp was to educate the rural populace of the entire country about the banking culture ranging from financial planning, budgeting etc.

He exhorted the public to take the full advantage of such literacy awareness camp stating that without which one will face many technical shortcomings in time of taking loans, or banking assistance to establish one’s own entrepreneurship.

The senior manager further illuminated the participants on topics of various elements relevant to banking.

Altogether 200 men from various SHGs of the district took part in the camp.
