MSAD announces education related awareness programme

IMPHAL, January 31: The Manipur Students’ Association Delhi (MSAD) will be organising academic awareness programmes in all districts of the State to highlight the importance of education, said the association’s president Meraj Shah Kori today.

Speaking at a press conference at the Manipur Press Club, he said the programme will be inaugurated on February 2 at the DM College of Arts.

During the programme, MSAD will highlight and provide guidance on several issues faced by the people of the region especially students in the national capital and other cities of the country including racial discrimination, prospects of academic facilities available in various universities in Delhi, he said.

The programmes will also cover the issues of academic atmosphere in Manipur, the importance of learning, problems of the students in the State, he added.

Meraj said at the same time considering the welfare of the North Eastern students in the national capital, separate students cells are opened at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Milia Islamia University and the University of Delhi.
