Anti-Corruption Cell takes up 15 complaints

IMPHAL: The first meeting of the Screening Committee of the Anti-Corruption Cell opened by state government was held Friday at the Chief Minister’s office.

The first meeting which took up 15 complaints made to the Anti-Corruption Cell was chaired by chief secretary O Nabakishore and attended by additional chief secretary Sambhu Singh and commissioner (DP) VK Dewangan as  members, after minutely analysing all the 15 complaints, the meeting directed Anti-Corruption Cell to take up befitting action.

Among the 15 complaints include numerous toll taxes opened along Imphal-Jiribam road, collection of money by VDF personnel at Keishampat power house, providing vending space in Khwairamband markets after illegal collection, delay in GPF withdrawal by police headquarters and 7 MR, collection of additional Rs 3,000 by IMC in registration process, non-distribution of post-matric scholarship to OBC students for the year 2015-16 and non-compliance to guidelines in school building construction under RMSA
