Manipur, IMPHAL, August 7: The All Tribal Student’s Union Manipur (ATSUM) and Komrem Students’ Union have congratulated MC Mary Kom, who is going to be the first Olympic medalist of the state.
According to a release of ATSUM, the All Tribal Student’s Union Manipur (ATSUM) would like to congratulate the first Olympic medalist from the state who also happens to be a tribal from a humble family.
“There is no greater pride today of being a tribal. Her achievement will encourage tribal for taking up sports in a big way. We also hope and pray that she will win the gold medal and become the greatest women boxer ever of all times.”
ATSUM has also appreciated the state government for promoting her to Additional SP and hopes that the government will not lack behind comparing with Haryana government in awarding her for her tremendous contribution, it further said.
In a separate release, The Komrem Students’ Union (GHQ) has also congratulated MC Mary Kom on her achievement. It has appreciated the state government for promoting her as Additional Superintendent of Police and hopes that monetary help will also be awarded to her.
